2017 RJS Fundraising Season Comes to a Successful CloseThis past February, 14 Saint Stephen Council 14084 Volunteers closed out a highly successful 2016-2017 fundraising season at Raymond James Stadium with the final ‘official’ event - Monster Jam II.
This year we fielded a roster consisting of 46 volunteers, which included 41 Brother Knights, 1 family member, and 4 friends (non-Knights), who came together to experience the friendship among all of those selflessly donating their time and effort, working together to make possible the funds that help so many worthy causes in our Parish and throughout our greater community.
The combined efforts of these volunteers earned the Council a record-breaking $20,760 in commissions, plus $2,300 in tips, for a grand total of $23,760 for the season.
THANK YOU ALL. Your contribution to this vital fundraising effort will definitely make a difference in the life of the Knights of Columbus St. Stephen Council 14084! Our Annual RJS volunteer appreciation Beefsteak & Beer Dinner, for those who staffed the effort this past season, will be scheduled sometime after Easter. Please watch for the invitation.
Please keep in mind that staffing for this event is on a first-come first-served basis, with priority going to those who participated this past season. I’m still waiting for confirmation whether we will be staffing our Tiki Hut or if we will be on the field on the back wall facing the stage as we did at the Beyoncé concert last year. However, we are looking to provide a minimum of 15 volunteers.
This is the main fundraiser for the Council and allows us to perform our Charitable works throughout the year. Special Olympics, Brandon Life Center, Camp Able, St. Stephen Catholic School, as well as various others throughout the community.
